PHILADELPHIA - Police said a man dressed as a woman was found fatally shot Wednesday morning in Fairmount Park.
SkyFox flew over the scene where a jogger made the discovery near tennis courts in the area of Ford Road and Chamounix Drive.
At first glance, people thought it was the body of a woman. But when detectives got closer, they realized the victim, shot multuiple times, was actually a man dressed in women's clothes, Fox 29's Julie Kim reported.
The jogger called police at 6:13 a.m., and the body was in an open patch of grass just beyond the tennis courts, near a path.
Homicide detectives said the black male was wearing all pink, a blond wig and a bra stuffed with socks. There was no money or identification on the body, so police will be using fingerprints to try and identify the victim.
It's not clear if the man was killed elsewhere and then dumped,
but there are tire tracks on the spot. And authorities said the
shooting must have happened recently because the body was still
warm when paramedics got to the scene.
