Trooper Cleared Of Soliciting Child Sex

Former Pa. State Trooper, 40, Found Not Guilty

MEDIA, Pa. - A former Pennsylvania State Police trooper has been cleared of child sex charges.

Albert Silveri, 40, was found not guilty Tuesday of soliciting sex with children over the Internet.

Prosecutors said Silveri had conversations with an undercover officer who was posing as a mother of 8- and 10-year-old girls.

They arranged to meet last summer, but Silveri never showed up and was later arrested.

His attorney said he never intended to follow through on the meetings.
