PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police say they've arrested a woman who "played a significant role" in planning a well-orchestrated murder of a woman and her companion in her upscale Northern Liberties apartment building.
Police said Thursday that 25-year-old Katoya Jones, of the 1000 Block of N. Hancock Street, is charged with murder, conspiracy, robbery, burglary, criminal trespass and possession of an instrument of crime.
She lives in the same building where 34-year-old Rian Thal and 40-year-old Timothy Gilmore were killed Saturday, say police.
Sources tell Fox 29 that Jones was promised proceeds from the planned robbery that turned into murder.
Police say they found four kilos of cocaine and $111,000 in Thal's apartment at The Piazza at Schmidt's development.
Jones was jailed Thursday; her lawyer says she's innocent.
