Man Gets Sentence For Child-Sex Tourism

PHILADELPHIA - A wealthy Russian-American entrepreneur from Bucks County will get a sentence of 61/2 to eight years on a federal "sex tourism" charge and related counts.

38-year-old Andrew Mogilyansky pleaded guilty in April to traveling to his homeland to procure girls from orphanages and have sex with them. Under a plea agreement approved Thursday, he must pay $5,000 to three victims and must also register as a sex offender after his release.

A federal prosecutor says the deal will spare the victims having to come to Pennsylvania to testify and relive their ordeal.

Defense attorney Jack McMahon says his client wants to resolve the matter as quickly as possible.

Mogilyansky has been in custody since his arrest in December. He still faces a civil suit accusing him of helping to finance an online child-sex ring and develop its English-language Web site to attract wealthy international customers.
