School Districts Hurt By Budget Crisis

PHILADELPHIA - Pennsylvania's budget crisis has hit home for the state's 500 school districts.

The Department of Education says the check will not be in the mail for the first big payment of state school aid.

How will it impact your schools and your kids?

It’s $416 million dollars in state school funds and not one cent of it goes to the districts until there's a budget.

Shelly Yanoff, Executive Director of the Philadelphia Citizens for Children and Youth, sat down with Fox 29’s Jeff Cole to discuss the impact.
