A Fox 29 viewer in Richland Township near Quakertown says the
young male black bear was back in their yard near Route 309 on
Tuesday after a previous visit on July 28.
On Tuesday, the bear destroyed a shepherd’s hook as he
tried to swipe a bird feeder.
The viewer said Pennsylvania Game officials asked people in
the area to stop feeding their pets outdoors, and to consider
taking down bird feeders as a precaution.
Last month, a black bear was spotted near Ridge Road just
below Quakertown, and last summer saw bear spotting in the
area.
