Fire Station Takes Heat For Photoshoot

EASTON, Pa. - A photoshoot for a struggling actor has turned into a big controversy for the fire department in Easton, Northampton County.

The shoot took place at the central firehouse where a woman either took off her top - or didn't - depending on whom you talk to.

A witness says what she saw was completely inappropriate, reported Fox 29’s Claudia Gomez. But both firefighters and the actor insist absolutely nothing inappropriate happened.

Easton’s mayor wants to get to the bottom of it so Monday he launched an investigation.

"No good deed goes unpunished." That may be how firefighters in Easton are feeling after a favor for an actor blew up on the front page of the local newspaper.

"The allegation is that there was a female in the station having pictures taken in the station with everything from a tank top to underwear,” says Easton Mayor Sal Panto Jr.

It happened last Thursday night inside the Central Fire Station in Easton. The actor wanted some photos of himself for a possible role in a TV series about firefighters. So he asked his hometown fire department which gave the okay.

"The photo shoot was just strictly an innocent photo shoot with just me with firefighter gear, a fire engine behind me,” says actor Tony Napoli.

But then Napoli suggested his female photographer, who is an aspiring actor herself, get some photos taken for her portfolio. Firefighters kept the station's garage doors open.

Another woman picking up take-out food across the street looked inside. She told Fox 29 she saw the photographer in a red bra on top of a table.

"I took photos of her in firefighter gear,” says Napoli. “I have no clue where a table came from, and I have no clue what woman was shirtless. But she was the only woman in there, and by golly, she was not shirtless."

"My biggest concern is there’s something totally inappropriate being photographed at the station," says says Mayor Panto, Jr. "My minimal concern is that there was a breach of policy or maybe a lack of common sense."

The fire chief would not comment, but a subordinate told Fox 29 the firefighters there that night did not engage in any inappropriate behavior.

Even the witness admitted she didn't see any firefighters acting badly.

The mayor says the investigation should be finished by the end of the week.
