Gosselin, comedian Julie Gold and former CBS talent Rene Syler will be contributors to the pilot.
Deen reportedly has control over which people eventually make the cast, so it's not a given that Kate Gosselin will even be on the show.
Gosselin, 34, is still under contract to TLC.
The show will be based on the Web Site “MomLogic”
and produced by the same company that does “TMZ,”
“Ellen” and “Extra.”
If the show gets a “green light” and goes into production, it could mean a move from Pennsylvania for Kate Gosselin.
Co-host Deen is famously based in Savannah, Ga., for her Food Network shows and other programs produced by Telepictures are based in California.
The Gosselins make between $50,000 and $70,000 per episode for “Jon & Kate Plus 8.”
But the show’s ratings have plummeted after Jon and Kate Gosselin announced their divorce amongst a swarm of bad publicity.
The couple allegedly bought a $1.3 million estate in Wernersville, Pa., last year.
The couple is reportedly under contract to TLC for this season, and possibly one more season.
The fighting reality TV parents separated in June and will be divorced by the end of September.
