Fox 29 was on the scene when a wrecking crew starting demolishing the historic La Ronda mansion outside Philadelphia.

A front loader starting smashing the wall of the huge estate in Bryn Mawr on Thursday morning.

Previous demolition work inside the mansion gutted the building of its valuable inside architecture.

There was no word on how long the demolition would take.

It does end months of public debate over the 80-year-old estate, which was the last building designed by architect Addison Mizner
