TMZ reports that the judge in the Jon and Kate Gosselin war has canceled Wednesday's hearing because of a "family emergency." Court officials tell TMZ that Judge Arthur Tilson's wife died of cancer early this morning.

The hearing will be held next week.
Tilson was scheduled to issue a ruling on a contempt motion against Jon Gosselin on Wednesday in Montgomery County Family Court.
Jon Gosselin’s lawyers filed their own counterclaim on Tuesday in the same court.
Last weekend, Kate Gosselin’s lawyers claimed that Jon Gosselin emptied $230,000 from a money-market account, leaving Kate unable to pay the family’s bills.
Her lawyers filed a motion on Monday for the money to be returned and for Jon Gosselin to face the contempt charge.
The reality TV dad and his lawyer went on the offensive Monday night, claiming that Kate Gosselin didn’t account for a large amount of money to Judge Tilson.
On Tuesday night, Jon Gosselin will reveal much of the family’s finances on Entertainment Tonight and The Insider.
In extended promos for both shows, Gosselin is seen waving printed bank records and demanding Kate Gosselin account for the family’s bank accounts.
At one point, Jon Gosselin yells, “Kate, where is the $2 million?”
On The Insider, Jon Gosselin sits down at a computer with host Lara Spencer and goes through a bank statement.
Jon Gosselin told Entertainment Tonight that he also pays $7,500 a month as a 50 percent share of the couple's monthly expenses as part of a court-mandated settlement.
He also wondered where much of the family's money was, and claimed Kate Gosselin has as many as 14 bank accounts.
Kate Gosselin, 34, claimed on the "Today" show on Monday that she has just $1,000 in cash and bills way beyond that to pay.
Directly addressing Jon Gosselin, Kate said: "You left your children and their mother unable to pay the bills."
Kate Gosselin also said on Monday she took $100,000 out of the bank account in June, and an arbitrator asked her to put the money back.
"We have one parent who is pulling for the best of out children," Kate Gosselin said.
Kate Gosselin also blasted Jon for not wanting to film their TV series.
