Jon And Kate Are Has Beens?

MyFox Philly Report

PHILADELPHIA - At least six major gossip Web sites don’t have current Jon and Kate Gosselin coverage as the mainstream media moves away from the reality TV couple.

Currently, four major Internet gossip sites (TMZ, People, Us Magazine and Radar Online) have no front-page coverage of Jon and Kate Gosselin.

Two Web sites for the CBS syndicated shows Entertainment Tonight and The Insider are also Gosselin free.

Both CBS shows were named in a lawsuit filed by TLC against Jon Gosselin last week as shows that allegedly paid Jon Gosselin for interviews.

Earlier this week, another Web site and magazine, Life & Style, promoted a Gosselin-free issue.

The cold shoulder from the media comes just days before Jon and Kate Gosselin will appear in a Norristown, Pa., court room to settle their financial differences.

In the past, Life & Style magazine covered the reality TV parents in detail and had an exclusive interview with Kate Major, one of Jon Gosselin’s alleged girlfriends.

But now, Life & Style enough is enough.

"We're listening to our readers who have overwhelmingly asked us to take a break from Jon and Kate, " said Dan Wakeford, editor-in-chief of Life & Style Weekly. "We believe, for the sake of their children, they need some time to solve their problems behind closed doors."

Instead, Life & Style is focusing on meatier celebs, like Kim Kardashian, the “Twilight” heartthrobs and old standbys Angelina Jolie and Britney Spears.

The news comes as Jon Gosselin reacted badlly to the idea of hooking up with Nadya Suleman, aka Octomom.

The reality TV dad was told by a freelance photographer in Pennsylvania on Tuesday that Suleman thought Jon Gosselin was a stud, not a dud.

A stunned Jon Gosselin was taken aback and then said "no way" when asked about getting together with Suleman.

A thoughtful Jon Gosselin said he had enough to deal with and the idea of an Octo-date "was kinda weird."

Suleman spoke with Radar Online on Monday about the 32-year-old former “Jon & Kate” star, and said, “I kind of have a crush on Jon Gosselin. ... I think he’s hot!”

Suleman has 14 children, including her octuplets. Jon Gosselin has eight children, including his sextuplets.

Gosselin has starred for four years in "Jon & Kate Plus 8," which has been consumed in recent months by marital turmoil as Gosselin and his wife, Kate, feuded, then filed for divorce.

The New York Post reported on Thursday that TLC has canceled the show.

A TLC spokeswoman, Laurie Goldberg, said on Friday the show's longtime future remains in question.

The spinoff show “Kate Plus 8” may debut later in November, but the participation of the Gosselin children is still in doubt, as is that TV show.
