The Kreiders publicly criticized Kate Gosselin online and on TV this spring after the couple was cut out of the Gosselins' TV show.
They claimed Kate Gosselin was angered that TLC wanted to compensate the couple for their appearances on TV.
Kate Gosselin said on the “Today Show” in June that the Kreiders lied about the circumstances of their estrangement.
“That’s probably one of the most hurtful things in
all of this. When family turns on you and makes up lies and makes
allegations and makes tens of thousands of dollars doing it. This
is a brother I was very, very close to. And he became jealous and
decided that they were going to take their fame and go elsewhere
and make money essentially off of my children.”
The news comes as Kate Gosselin is reportedly is in
California for a series of public appearances on Monday.
Lawyers for the feuding couple are expected in a Norristown,
Pa., courtroom on Monday as a judge hears complaints about
financial matters related to their divorce.
Mark Jay Heller told People magazine on Friday that Jon
Gosselin has returned all money requested by a Montgomery County
judge in his financial battle with Kate Gosselin.
But Mark Momjian, Kate Gosselin's lawyer, said later on Friday that Kate has not seen the money that Jon should have returned.
"My client would be relieved to report that he (Jon) has fully complied...I would be relieved, too," Momjian told Radar Online. "But he hasn't as of now."
Momjian claimed that Kate Gosselin had met any commitment ordered by the court. Heller said the opposite about Kate.
The warring parents’ money battle became public two weekends ago when Kate Gosselin and Momjian filed for contempt charges after they said Jon Gosselin took $230,000 from a money-market account.
Kate Gosselin claimed that Jon Gosselin left her with just $1,000 to pay bills for her and their eight children.
In a counterclaim, Jon Gosselin said Kate Gosselin had $1
million stashed away and that Kate Gosselin also withdrew money
from the same account.
On October 13, the judge didn't rule on the case but ordered
Jon and Kate Gosselin to work out their money arguments, in
private, with an arbitrator.
The Gosselins were told to keep things "private" and "amicable."
Both sides allege that money has been withdrawn from joint bank accounts outside of the rules of the divorce case.
The bitter divorce went ballistic when Jon Gosselin demanded that TLC stop filming the former hit TV show "Jon & Kate Plus 8."
According to court documents, TLC stopped paying the Kate and Jon Gosselin when shooting was halted on "Jon & Kate Plus 8" two weeks ago.
Kate Gosselin wants to continue with the show, without Jon Gosselin, as it is the main source of income for the family.
