The core argument of the lawsuit, which seeks $5 million in
damages, is that Jon and Kate Gosselin didn’t have proper
legal representation when they signed a contract for “Jon
& Kate Plus 8,” and that TLC violated Pennsylvania
child-labor laws.
TLC has repeatedly denied that it violated any labor laws, and said the Gosselins had an attorney and an agent when they signed their most-recent contract with TLC.

In October, TLC filed a detailed breach on contract suit after Jon Gosselin refused to allow TLC to film his children for "Jon & Kate Plus 8."
The TLC lawsuit alleges that Gosselin hasn't met the obligations of his contract as an exclusive employee, has appeared on other programs for pay and made unauthorized disclosures about the show.
Recently, Jon Gosselin has made frequent appearances on The Insider and Entertainment Tonight.
He also did a one-hour interview on “Larry King Live.”
Gosselin has starred for four years in "Jon & Kate Plus 8," which has been consumed by marital turmoil as Gosselin and his wife, Kate, feuded, then filed for divorce.
