Two Police Officers Hurt In Crash

PHILADELPHIA - Two Philadelphia police officers were involved in a crash in the Northeast section of the city.

It happened at the intersection of Cottman Avenue and Summerdale Avenue around 4:30 p.m. Monday.

The 2nd District officers were transported to Frankford Torresdale Hospital. One officer had to get stitches and the other is being held for observation, said Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
