PHILADELPHIA - Members of the Naval Academy's Class of 1985 hope surveillance video will help catch the person who made off with their class flag over the weekend.
The flag was taken from Benny the Bums Bar in South Philadelphia.
The surveillance video shows a man casing the joint as he calculates his steps. First, he cuts to the one side, he walks around a bit, then goes back and cuts the other end. He waits a few more minutes and then lies on a seat and shoves the flag down his pants.
"There's no reason for somebody to really grab it other than being a theft," said Paul Rosmilso, of the class of '85.
The alumni class had left the flag hanging on the wall while they went to Saturday's Army-Navy game. They said they just want it back, no questions asked.
