Ridley Officer Dismissed Over Assault Allegations

RIDLEY, Pa. - A police officer in Delaware County was fired after he allegedly assaulted a Wawa worker while he was off-duty.

The Wawa is located across the street from the police station.

According to Ridley's police commissioner, Officer Brian Decker, 33, of Ridley, repeatedly punched the store manager in the face after she asked him for identification when he bought chewing tobacco.

Prosecutors said Decker has checked himself into an undisclosed rehabilitation facility and will face the charges when he gets out.
