MALVERN, PA - In cooperation with the recall issued by American Fresh Foods/Fairbank Farms, ACME has voluntarily recalled all fresh ground beef items sold at its stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware. The beef was sold between September 16th and October 6.
Recalled products include all brands of ground beef including Wild Harvest, Lancaster Brand and store-made ground beef products including meatballs, meatloaf, Salisbury steak and stuffed peppers.
Acme issued the following statement:
"At ACME, the safety of our customer is a top priority. Customers who have the product in their homes or freezers can bring it back to their ACME store for a full refund. Customers who have health-related concerns should contact their physician.
We will continue to monitor the situation and look to the manufacturer and the USDA for further guidance."
