PA A.G's Plan To Protect G.M. Customers

Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett wants to make sure General Motors customers don't get ripped off as the company moves through bankruptcy.

Corbett told "Good Day," his office is most concerned with customers who own older vehicles. Corbett says he is looking for guarantees from G.M. that existing lemon laws will still cover their vehicles. Corbett says, so far, it looks like the new G.M. will abide by these laws.

The Attorney General is also concerned about warranties. With so many dealerships closing, there will be less options to get your vehicle repaired. Corbett says any G.M. dealership should be able to repair your car or truck. Consumers who are having trouble are encouraged to contact the Attorney General's office.

Corbett also revealed that Pennsylvania officials have busted a massive crystal meth operation between Philadelphia and Mexico.

He said the $2.5-million operation provided meth for Philadelphia and area suburbs, including South Jersey. Corbett said the group moved about 28-pounds of meth over the last eight-months. More details will be announced during an afternoon news conference.

Corbett also warned parents to pay  extra attention to their kids' internet use over the summer. He said predators know children are often home alone.

If you suspect an internet predator or are having problems with your G.M. product ,you are encouraged to contact the Attorney General's office. http://www.attorneygeneral.gov/
