PHILADELPHIA - Federal investigators are in town today to look into the Philadelphia Housing Authority and howit has been using government funding.
The feds are in town Tuesday conducting an audit of the PHA.
An attorney for the authority sent a letter to employees Monday telling them not to delete any documents.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development and the authority's board of directors are conducting audits.
While all of that is going on, an attorney for one of the women who claims she was sexually harassed by PHA executive director Carl Greene says his client is being left in the dark.
John Elliott, the attorney for Betsy Helm, says he has not heard from the board since last week. He said every day he doesn't hear from them, the cost of her settlement goes up.
Greene is away on three weeks leave and is apparently receiving medical treatment.
Elliott said that while Greene is out on paid leave, his client is suffering.
"Betsy Helm got no paid leave. Carl Greene gets paid leave. It doesn't make any sense," Elliott said. "The victim gets thrown down the stairs economically and emotionally. She applies for unemployment and they claim she quit, yet Greene gets paid leave? Outragious!"
The PHA has not yet commented on the attorney's allegations.
