RADNOR, Pa. - A $5,000 reward is being offered for information about Wednesday night's smash-and-grab robbery at a Main Line jewelry store.
It happened shortly before 5 p.m. at the Bernie Robbins store on Lancaster Avenue in St. David's.
Police say a man pretending to be a security guard was buzzed into the store. Then, at least four other men and stormed into the store with him.
Police say they were carrying guns and hammers and smashed out several jewelry cases. Police are on alert for the suspects.
"Well, let's face it – this is the Main Line. We don't allow things like this to happen on the Main Line. People expect a certain quality of life here, and it's our responsibility to ensure that. So, when these types of events happen, we take this extremely seriously," Radnor Police Superintendent William Colarulo said.
Several customers and employees were in the store at the time. No one was hurt.
