Mother Of Hiker Held In Iran Speaks

Three Vigils Held In Three Cities

WYNCOTE, Pa. - The mother of one of three American hikers held in Iran says the Swiss ambassador hugged them and reported they're being treated well.

Laura Fattal spoke at a Wednesday night candlelight vigil just outside Philadelphia.

She says the ambassador reported that her son Joshua Fattal and companions Shane Bauer and Sarah Shourd have been eating good food and taking showers.

About 100 people attended the vigil at an arboretum in Wyncote. They included friends from Fattal's childhood in nearby Elkins Park who described him as a caring, intelligent man who is a free spirit with a good sense of humor.

Friends and family of the detained hikers also held vigils in Minneapolis and San Francisco.
