Naked Man Chases Woman In NE Philly

PHILADELPHIA - Police are looking for a naked man who chased and tried to attack a woman in Northeast Philadelphia.

According to police, the incident took place near a wooded area on the 8300 block of Frankford Avenue at 12:40 a.m. Tuesday.

That's when a 40-year-old female says the man, who was already naked, came out of the bushes, grabbed her from behind and tried to sexually assault her.

As this occurred, a school police officer happened to drive by and stopped to help the woman, who was running away.

The attacker was described as being about 30- to 35-years-old, 6-feet-tall, weighing about 200 pounds and having short, blond hair.

The police department's special victims' unit is handling the investigation.
