Minor Flooding In PA & NJ

Mother Nature is taking another hit at New Jersey and suburban Philadelphia.

In Chester County, minor flooding is reported in Valley Forge, Newtown Square, and Birmingham Township.

Heavy rains continue to soak parts of New Jersey, with anywhere from 1 to 1 1/2 inches reported so far.
That comes one week after another massive storm system dropped up to two feet of snow on the Garden State.

While no major problems are being reported, minor to moderate flooding has occurred at several small creeks, streams and areas with poor drainage.

And stretches of some major southern roadways -- such as Route 322 and the Black Horse Pike -- were closed for several hours due to flooding.

Meanwhile, water levels were rising in some major waterways as today's milder temperatures help melt most of the snow that fell last weekend.

The Cooper River in Haddonfield has now risen above flood stage, while the south branch of the Rancocas Creek is up four feet and the southwest branch in Medford is up nearly six feet.
