Nor'Easter Part 2 Slams Jersey Shore

Rain and wind lashed the coast as the second nor'easter in three days came barreling in through the Jersey shore.

Emergency operations centers are up and running as officials keep a wary eye on the storm and the high tide.

In West Wildwood, streets flooded and sent water into garages. Residents who live around their had already moved their things out or elevated them on crates.

"It was up to my thighs out here earlier," said Kenny Phi. "We moved the truck to higher ground."

In Ocean City, the beach along Atlantic Avenue remains closed because there is no beach because it eroded away during previous storms. Geotubes placed to stave off beach erosion were either washed away or became deflated, leaving the dunes unprotected.

Joan Farrell says shes not worried about flooding issues with this storm.

"It's a shame that the natural protection is gone. The real question is hat happens with the next storm after this one," said Farrell.

Cape May County Emergency Management reported no major damage or outages. Somers Point EOC said around 9:30 Saturday that the water was starting to go down.

But the coast isn't clear for the Jersey Shore just yet. Officials say they'll be closely monitoring the situation during Sunday morning's high tide.
