PHILADELPHIA - Intelligence tells Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey that "Occupy Philly" protesters may be on the move later on Tuesday.
Ramsey told FOX 29's Steve Keeley that information police have gathered suggests that some people at the protest site are planning a march to a bank branch.
FOX 29 News previously reported that protesters might target a Bank of America branch, blaming that company for some of the country's problems. The protesters are taking a stand against what they consider to be corporate greed.
Ramsey said that, if that mrch happens, they will escort the protesters to and from the bank.
But Keeley said he doesn't believe the commissioner would allow protesters to shut down a bank business with a sit-in or other action.
Elsewhere, there were arrests overnight in Boston, where protesters moved into an area that was supposed to be off limits to them and began camping out, resulting in a clash with police. And "Occupy DC" protesters are said to be planning to try and shut down a prominent public building, although they're not saying which builing.
So far, there have been no problems, no citations and no arrests at the Occupy Philly events.
Their biggest action to date, outside of the camp site at City Hall, was a march to the Liberty Bell on Saturday.
