PHILADELPHIA - There's more trouble for the Philadelphia Housing Authority.
A report in the Philadelphia Inquirer says former Philadelphia mayor and authority board Chairman John Street repeatedly approved millions of dollars in PHA contracts to a legal firm where his son worked.
Street says he had nothing to do with work done by his son and says he got a waiver from the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
According to the article, HUD says it only granted Street a waiver to serve on the board, not to hire his son.
Just days ago HUD asked all PHA board members to resign, but Street says they're not going to step down.
