American, Dutchwoman Win City Marathon

PHILADELPHIA - The 16th Annual Philadelphia Marathon brought more than 20,000 runners to the streets of Philadelphia Sunday morning, and after a little over 26 miles, Daniel Vassallo and Mariska Kramer were named the winners.

Vassallo, the winner in the male division, crossed at 2:21:28, while Kramer, the female division winner, crossed at 2:38:55. Vassallo is American and Kramer is from the Netherlands.

Organizers had anticipated a crowd of 40,000 for the weekend’s events.
