Beginning in the fall, six public schools in the Philadelphia school district will have longer days, Saturday classes and a longer school year.
These six schools were specifically chosen by the Philadelphia school District because they were underperforming at an alarming level.
This is all part of a new effort called ‘Promise Academy’, spearheaded by the head of the program, Assistant Superintendent Francisco Duran.
He was interviewed by Thomas Drayton Monday evening.
Check out his interview and see how these changes will be implemented by the district.
