Brazen Midday Robbery At Lansdowne Wawa

Police have released a series of photos showing a suspect they believe is responsible for robbing the Wawa on Lansdowne Avenue.

On January 28, at approximately 2:00pm, Lansdowne Police were called out to the store for an armed robbery.    The store manager told police he was removing money from the store's safe when a man displayed a handgun.  The suspect ordered the manager to place money in a bag.  Once the money was handed over, the suspect fled.   No one was injured although several people were in the store at the time of the robbery.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5'10" tall with a mustache and a goatee.  He is in his late twenties or early thirties.

The Lansdowne Police is requesting anyone who may have been in the store at the above mentioned time, and can provide additional details relating to the robbery or can identify the suspect is asked to contact the Lansdowne Police Department at 610-623-0700.
