Camden Rapist On The Loose

CAMDEN, N.J. - Camden police are on alert stationed near Baird Boulevard and Randolph Street. The show of force is being made after a serial rapist may have struck again.

The victim says a man grabbed her from behind Wednesday afternoon pulled her into a secluded lot on Baird and Randolph then sexually assaulted her at knifepoint.

Police said Wednesday night that they were still investigating the woman's claims.

Neighbors watched as officers armed with assault rifles and dogs canvassed the neighborhood hoping to find an attacker.

Police released a composite sketch of the serial rapist just last week. Police believe he's responsible for assaulting three young women in the past month. Investigators are now questioning Wednesday's alleged victim to see if the same rapist has struck again.
