PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police are looking at a video shot by a Fox 29 viewer of Mummers brawling in South Philadelphia.

The fight happened near the corner of 2nd and Pierce streets on Monday night, after the parade.

It is a location where many of the Mummers brigades converge for after parade festivities. But the festivities got out of hand

A Cherry Hill, N.J., woman who doesn't want to be identified shot the smartphone video around 9:30 p.m. New Year's night.

"I saw it getting bigger and bigger," she told us on Tuesday.

She says the fight started with one guy and quickly escalated into an all-out booze-fueled brawl.

"It was kinda scary, being so close to it," she said.

Members of several Mummers groups were still in costume fighting each other outside the Oregon New Year's Association headquarters.

Then a crowd toppled a street barrier and more than a dozen people fell to the ground.

For residents who live here, the Mummers debauchry is getting worse by the year for what's supposed to be a family friendly event.

"You don't want people to think 2nd street is all just fighting cause they're out here having a good time," said Kevin Furr of South Philladelphia

Philadelphia police told Fox 29 there were no arrests made but they are taking a good look at this video.
