There is a new look to the DRPA - at least Pennsylvania's board. So is change on the horizon?
Gov. Tom Corbett and his five new Pennsylvania appointees were sworn in this morning. They will now assume the reigns of the troubled DRPA.
Despite having a full plate and a statewide budget to address, Corbett said he felt it was necessary to fix what's broken at the DRPA.
Corbett has also made one thing very clear: He is still observing the DRPA. He will not accept anything as "gospel", such as the news reports alleging waste and mismanagement, adding he will not make any hasty decisions.
Fox 29's Bruce Gordon reports that Corbett wants the DRPA to practice fiscal discipline.
Under DRPA rules, Corbett had the power to change his state's board members. On the other side of the river is New Jersey. Their appointees have specific terms of office, giving Governor Christie little power over them.
