CAMDEN, N.J. - Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett is now chairman of the Delaware River Port Authority.
The board of the agency, made up of New Jersey and Pennsylvania officials, voted the Republican as its new leader on Wednesday.
Corbett says he believes the DRPA should focus on transportation issues and stay out of economic development. He says he'll evaluate it before making major changes.
Earlier this week, Corbett named himself to the board of the embattled agency that owns four Philadelphia-area toll bridges and a commuter train line.
The agency has made a series of major changes over the last year.
The DRPA has dropped out of the economic development business and has tried to rein in employee perks, such as free tolls and train rides.
