The property in Elizabethtown, Pa,, was the original house from “Jon & Kate Plus 8” and seen on the TLC show for most of the TV series.
The brick Cape Cod in Elizabethtown, Pa., was bought by the Gosselins for $280,000 in 2006.
County papers obtained by MyFoxPhilly show the house was finally sold for $258,000 on January 14, 2010.
The former couple owed $193,000 on the house’s mortgage as of last fall.
The house went on the market in October 2008 after the Gosselins bought a $1.12 million estate in Wernersville, Pa.
As of last fall, the mortgage on their Wernersville house was for $720,000 over 10 years.
Kate Gosselin reportedly took control of the house in Wernersville, which was used for the final season of “Jon & Kate” as part of the couple’s divorce settlement.
Jon Gosselin is committed to monthly child-support payments as part of the settlement. But the former reality TV star is barred from making a living as a TV personality until this summer, as part of TLC’s suit against Jon Gosselin.
Kate Gosselin is also trying to start a TV career, but Jon’s opposition to allowing her eight children on TV has limited her options.
She is reportedly working on a TV pilot with TLC that does not include her children.
