Feds Charging For NJ Saltwater Fishing

Do you plan on heading to the Jersey Shore this summer for some saltwater fishing?

Well, this year – the fee to register to fish – is $0.00 – free.

But, change is coming - in the form of fees.

Next year, the government has approved an annual fee – it could be anywhere from $15.00 to $25.00.

The Division of Fish & Wildlife says that the new fees will go towards administration and associated costs, but, as Fox 29’s Kerry Barrett reports, many fishermen are not so happy with this news.
