Dave Schratwieser spoke to the lawyer who represents the first mate. That mate was piloting the tugboat, pushing the barge at the time of the accident. His client took the 5th.

His attorney went on to say that his client may testify, but right now is not in his best interest.

Tonight,  Wally Duffield spoke with Fox 29’s Thomas Drayton. He offered his thoughts and insights on how this tragedy could have been prevented.
