PHILADELPHIA - It wasn’t a major storm, but the first snow of the season has blanketed the area leaving several inches of snow.
Reports from NWS weather spotters put the highest snowfall totals at Zionsville (Lehigh County) at 6.5 inches, Springtown (Bucks County) at 6 inches, East Nantmeal (Chester County) at 5 inches and Mohnton (Berks County) at 5 inches.
Perkasie, Wayne and Royersford received about 4 inches.
In Philadelphia, Somerton got 1 inch, while trace amounts were reported at the airport.
Trace amounts to 1 inch fell in parts of southern New Jersey and
Delaware.
Plows were out clearing the roads throughout the night.

Sunday morning some roads could be a little icy. But the
temperatures will rise into the 40's and quickly melt any ice that
has accumulated.
Sunday will be windy and 41. Then, things stay cloudy and chilly to start the workweek.
