Former Philadelphia mayoral candidate Karen Brown appeared before Judge Judy on a show that aired Wednesday, and it didn’t go well for Michael Nutter’s former opponent.
Brown and former campaign treasurer Stuart London took their beef before the Judge, and Judy didn’t take any guff from either complainant.
London claimed Brown owed him about $800 for expenses from the election. Brown denied parts of his claim.
“If she agreed to pay you $75 an hour, she should have a good psychiatric exam,” Judy said about the fee London claimed Brown agreed to pay him.
Brown also acknowledged she hired London when didn’t have any accounting experience but she was told he was a good treasurer.
“Then what did you hire him for?” Judge Judy asked.
When Brown responded, Judge Judy said, “I don’t believe you. And neither did the voters in Philadelphia.”
Brown said she told London that she would pay him after seeing his work.
Judge Judy settled the case by deciding that London was entitled to $198 from Brown.
