Kate Gosselin May Get Own Dating Show

PHILADELPHIA - The national nightmare known as Jon and Kate Gosselin will not end in 2010.

News comes from the celeb gossip site PopEater.com that Kate Gosselin is in talks to star in her own reality TV dating show, a la “The Bachelorette.”

Gosselin, 34, is in preliminary talks, an industry source told PopEater for a show that would feature the shaggy-hair mother looking for a new father for her eight children with ex-Jon Gosselin.

Kate recently lost a gig on a proposed talk show, and filmed a pilot episode for TLC in North Carolina that had Kate trying out everyday jobs.

Both Jon and Kate Gosselin lost a million-dollar deal with TLC when “Jon & Kate Plus 8” was taken off the air by TLC.

TLC and Jon Gosselin are locked in a bitter legal fight that prevents the couple’s children from appearing on TV with Kate.

Jon Gosselin also is required to pay Kate a “five-figure” child support monthly, but the TLC case effectively blocks him from earning money as a celebrity.

That would leave Kate Gosselin, a former radiology nurse, with few options for recurring income.

And Kate Gosselin has said in interviews that she wants to continue in a public role.
