Legal Circus Surrounding Carl Greene

PHILADELPHIA - Tonight Fox 29’s Sharon Crowley reports that there are new developments on the Philadelphia Housing Authority scandal and the legal circus surrounding Executive Director Carl Greene.

Greene is currently suspended with pay and on medical leave.

As he sues the city for breaching his contract and violating his rights, there are even more allegations of sexual harassment. There are accusations of betrayals, cover-ups, sex scandals, lies and counter lawsuits unfolding.

The scandal erupted after Greene admitted personal financial troubles. Next we found out that Greene quietly settled sexual harassment lawsuits with three women for hundreds of thousands of dollars. A fourth lawsuit has been filed, but not settled.

The PHA board claims they knew nothing about the women or the secret pay-outs.

Now, Mayor Street says he thinks a deliberate cover-up was involved.

Now, Street claims four more women have come forward with similar claims.

Sharon spoke to both Mayor Street and Green’s attorney, Clifford Haines.
