New Details In Marvin Harrison Case

Fox 29’s Dave Shcratwieser has new details on the ongoing investigation of former NFL Pro Bowl Receiver Marvin Harrison.

The 2009 shooting scene at 28th and Girard where Dwight Dixon was gunned down left no doubt that the gunman wanted Dwight Dixon dead. Dixon was shot seven times and died a few weeks later. Dixon claimed Harrison shot him in an earlier confrontation in 2008, outside of a garage owned by Harrison. Shell casings at the scene matched Harrison’s gun but charges were never filed. Authorities are now looking deeper - to see if these two events are linked.

Sources now tell Fox 29 they are close to identifying the gunman who murdered Dixon. Sources say the killer returned to the scene of the crime after the shooting and was caught on tape by the same cameras that captured the shooting and the killer’s escape. The suspect’s hood was pulled down.

Dave did speak to Harrison’s new defense attorney, Fortunato Perri, Jr. who said Harrison did not want to comment.
