We're hearing from one of the owners of a south jersey catering hall. It closed with no warning leaving brides to be out big bucks as their big days were put in jeopardy. Lauren Cohn spoke to one of the company's owners and is in Turnersville with the details.
Katie Rinylo has been planning the big day for more than a year and its now 5 months away.
She is speechless because she just found out the reception hall she booked, renaissance catering in Turnersville is closed for good. Katie’s on a long waiting list of people who are trying to get in touch with the owners and have had no luck.
So we asked the state why shut it down now with so many events planned and paid for? A spokesperson tells fox29 renaissance catering owed $120,000 at one point so it was shut down in September. When the owners came up with $35,000 they were allowed to reopen and put on a payment plan but when they didn't keep up the state had no choice.
