The Philadelphia School District said on Wednesday that it will add four days to its calendar to compensate for snow closures.
“Due to the recent historic snowfall, school districts across the nation are adjusting school calendars to comply with state
regulations.” said Dr. Arlene Ackerman.
“As you know, The School District of Philadelphia had to close schools for five days with only one snow day built into this year's calendar. Since there is no automatic exemption to the 180-day rule, we have appealed to the State for a waiver.”
The School District of Philadelphia will be in session on:
Monday, March 29, 2010
Tuesday, March 30, 2010
Tuesday, May 18, 2010
Friday, June 18, 2010
