Philly Records 200th Homicide of 2010

PHILADELPHIA - The city marked a sad milestone late Saturday when it recorded its 200th homicide of the year after gunshots rang out during a block party on North 13th Street.

According to police, the 34-year-old male victim was pronounced dead after being brought to Albert Einstein Medical Center from the 4700 block of North 13th Street shortly before 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

Despite the shooting taking place during a neighborhood block party, city detectives said Sunday morning they were unable to find a witness willing to come forward with information about the shooting. No arrests had been made.
