Philly School Like Lord Of The Flies

Video obtained by Fox 29 of mayhem inside a West Philadelphia classroom might only be the tip of the iceberg.

A student recorded video on her cell phone, to expose what was happening at Samuel Huey Middle School.

Fox 29's Dave Kinchen spoke with a woman who has more shocking stories about the school.

The woman who did not want to be identified, but inside knowledge of what the teachers are going through in all of this since her daughter teaches there.

“She has been punched three times trying to break up things in the back of in the classroom,” she said.

“When they ask for assistance from the hall monitors of the office, the help does not come,” she said.

The woman says the school resembles a scene from the novel, “Lord Of The Flies.”

“The bullies run the school not the administration,” she says.

Teachers will soon be getting some help, .according to a district official.

A deputy will be back in the school Monday working with teachers and administrators on an action plan.
