Officer Killed In September

GEORGETOWN, Del. - Georgetown, Del., police say the home of an officer killed in September was burglarized this weekend.

Police say the home of slain officer Chad Spicer was broken into sometime between Friday and Sunday and several items were taken.

Spicer was shot during a traffic stop in September along with another officer who survived.

The 29-year-old officer was killed and Cpl. Shawn Brittingham was wounded when they were shot, police said, as they chased three men wanted in a shooting at the fast-food restaurant just off Route 113.

Suspects in the case are facing first-degree murder charges, among others.
