PHILADELPHIA - You saw it only on Fox 29. The family of a little girl with a genetic disorder hit by thieves. Their holiday presents stolen and your generosity has healed a holiday heartbreak.
So many of you called us and offered to help we were absolutely overwhelmed.
After our story aired we were overwhelmed with organizations and individuals who wanted to help out this family.
More than a hundred people contacted us and thanks to our viewers, a family's Christmas has been saved.
When all of their gifts were stolen from their garage, you responded. With the help of the students and teachers of Richard L Rice elementary in Marlton, and the parishioners of St. Miriam's church in Blue Bell, a family now has their Christmas back.
Especially this family, including little Brianna, who is suffering from a very serious illness.
The family received a $1000 gift card from Burlington Coat Factory. An anonymous donor form Chester county donated $600 in acme gift certificates
The family's father Joe lost his job a couple days after the theft says he's still searching for a construction job.
As far as the theft, Philadelphia police are still investigating.
We got this story from a viewer tip and your viewer help changed the holiday for this family.
