Weather Blog: More Snow On Monday?

Weather Authority Update for Thursday, Feb. 11th

A much needed break after two major snowstorms in a week blasted our area. It will be a cold but dry stretch with plenty of sunshine, which will help melt the deep snowpack.

High temperatures will be in the mid 30s as we head into the weekend. The only concern will be after dark as temperatures will fall into the 20s allowing any areas of standing water to refreeze.

There has been a lot of talk about a possible storm on Monday. A low pressure system diving down from Canada (known as a clipper) will quickly move through or just too our south during the day Monday. These systems carry very little moisture with them and we do not expect very much snow if any from this system. Computers models have been in disagreement for days on whether this system will even affect our area. If it does, do not expect anything more than some light snow.
