PHILADELPHIA - Pennsylvania is now in its 100th day without a state budget.
Lawmakers made progress on two budget bills Wednesday. The House passed a tax package, sending it to Gov. Ed Rendell. The House also sent the main spending bill back over to the Senate.
The proposals to drill for gas on state lands and legalizing table games are still holding up the budget.
Meanwhile, a coalition of non-profits will mark the 100th day of the budget impasse with a noon protest at the Municipal Services Building on JFK Boulevard between Broad and 15th streets in Philadelphia.
