Democratic Congressman Joe Sestak says he's "leaning toward" running for the Senate against Republican-turned-Democrat Sen. Arlen Specter in 2010.
Rep. Sestak told "Good Day Philadelphia" on Monday there are "strong odds" that he'll run, but he has not made a final decision yet.
Sestak says the Senate race should be about the issues, not the man. He says voters need to make their choice based on health care, job security, education, and other issues that impact them.
Rep. Sestak also discussed a Veterans Summit that he is hosting Monday in Folsom, Pennsylvania Monday evening. The summit will focus on the concerns of local veterans, active service members, and their families.
The summit will also feature John R. Gingrich, Chief of Staff of the Department of Veterans Affairs.
The event will take place at Ridley High School in Folsom PA from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
